Low cost

High energy efficiency

Have a question About our products? Take a look at our FAQ.

At YandiyaTM, we understand that not everyone knows everything about far infrared heating. That is why we are here to help you. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we get from customers:

How can far infrared heating systems offer such low running costs?

Since infrared heats objects in the home rather than the air, there is less heat loss than traditional heating systems. All of our infrared heating panels are also designed to run on a thermostat that turns the panels on and off when needed (usually only running 6-7 hours a day), using the least amount of energy possible to heat your home; however, it is important to keep in mind that certain factors, such as other rooms in the home not being heated and window insulation, can affect the overall running costs.

Is infrared heating safe?

Yes, in fact, infrared heating systems can offer a wide range of health and environmental benefits to homeowners, including offering relief for Rheumatoid arthritis, pain, asthma, detoxification, joint problems, compression fractures, circulation problems, and skin conditions.

How easy is it to install infrared heating systems?

Infrared heating systems can easily be installed onto the walls or ceiling of any home by one of our licensed installers or by yourself. Electrical connections can also be completed by a certified electrician in no time.

Does extending the length of the supplied cable affect the efficiency of the heater?

No, the panels come with a 2m cable that can easily be stripped and added to.

Is the maintenance complicated?

Infrared heating systems require no maintenance to keep them running at optimal efficiency. Simply keep them clean by using a soft, dry cloth

Can infrared heating panels burn on touch?

While infrared heating panels can feel hot to touch (between 70-90 degrees Celsius), they will not burn you. All of our heating panels have a Safe Guard Heat Control built into them that is set at 90/130 degrees Celsius and are not heated 50mm around the edge as an extra precaution.

How do you control the panels?

All of our infrared heating panels are controlled using a thermostat or smart control system. Each type of thermostat provides control over temperature and energy usage, and some thermostats can be synced to your phone and controlled from where ever you are.

Can handheld thermostats be taken out of the room?

Yes. All of our handheld thermostats have an approximate range of 100m.

Are the thermostats IP rated?

All of our thermostats are IP21 rated and need to have a moisture cover if being installed outside. Infrared heating systems that are being installed in the bathroom will have to be installed to moisture zoning specifications.

Can I connect a motion sensor to the thermostat?

Yes. All thermostats come with a sensor terminal.

Can I buy a replacement remote?

Yes. Broken remotes can easily be replaced by any 486 RF remote.

Can I control numerous thermostats from one remote?

To control all of the thermostats in your house at once, you can install and use the Smart-E app on your phone. This app will also allow you to set child locks on each of the thermostats.

How much will it cost to heat a home per m3?

Depending on the structure of your home and window insulation, the average would be 30 watts; however, a higher wattage may be needed for uninsulated homes and a lower wattage for well-insulated homes.

Can YandiyaTM help with the installation process?

Yes. We have qualified and trained electrician's nationwide to assist with any installation needs.

Does infrared heating get rid of condensation?

Yes. Since infrared heating works by heating objects rather than the air, it prevents dampness, mould, and mildew from forming.

What size of panels should I get?

The size of panels that you will need to heat a space depends on the room being heated, as well as the overall size of the room. If you are unsure of what panel size will work best for your needs, one of our consultants can give you professional advice on maximizing the benefits of infrared heating.

Can infrared heating systems be installed in the bathroom?

All of our mirror panel products are IP65, bonded on the outside, and come with a sealed power box unit. Mirror panel products are perfect for helping reduce dampness and condensation, and the mirror will never steam up like regular mirrors do.

What's the cost difference between an infrared heating system and a heat pump?

To heat a small bedroom or office space, an infrared heating system would cost under $1000 and can be installed within an hour, where as a heat pump could cost over $2500 to heat the same space.

Why choose an infrared heating system over a heat pump?

Infrared heating systems offer a selection of benefits and advances, such as:
A 20-year lifespan A 05-year warranty (depending on the product) No moving parts and less long-term maintenance issues No remotes that can be lost No noise No outside compressor taking up space No drop off in performance if left unmaintained Health benefits Does not need to be replaced after 10 years Does not require pipes to be run Can be painted to blend with the wall

How high above the floor should the panels be installed?

All panels should be mounted higher than 1.2 metres above the floor.

Can panels be installed back to back?

No. Installing panels back to back or opposite each other will stop the panels from being able to bounce the infrared light because infrared light needs to have no obstruction around it to work properly.

Can panels be installed on the ceiling?

Yes. Installing panels on the ceiling is actually the most efficient way of heating a room; however, the best panels for mounting on the ceiling are made of aluminum due to weight factors.

If panels are mounted on the ceiling, will they be safe during an earthquake?

All of our panels are available with a safety cable and screws that can be used to stop the panel from falling in the event of an earthquake.

Can additional heaters be added to the system?

Yes. Infrared heating panels can be used singularly or as part of the home's overall heating solution.

Can panels be run in parallel?

Yes; however, it is important to keep in mind that thermostats are limited to 6 amps.

How long do infrared heaters last?

Most of our infrared heaters come with 05 years Warranty, but, since the heaters have no moving parts and elements, all panels have a life expectancy of 300,000 hours or 20 years.

How do you clean infrared heaters?

Both glass and aluminum heating panels can easily be cleaned using a damp cloth or light household surface cleaning products.

What do I do if I accidently scratch the glass?

To repair a scratch, gently rub fine wire wool and alcohol in a circular motion over the scratch.

Can heaters be placed on a timer?

Yes. Timers can be used from the thermostat controller or the plug in/off switch.

Is it true that infrared heaters need to run all the time?

No. Pairing infrared heaters to a smart home heating control system can be a more efficient way of running the heating system.

Are all of the thermostats hardwired?

No. Some of our thermostats are hardwired, while others run on radio frequency.

Are the heaters noisy?

No. Since infrared heaters require no moving parts or elements, they are silent.

Can I paint a heater?

Yes. Heaters can be painted with emulsion-based paints.

Can the heater be placed behind the couch?

Placing an infrared heater behind a couch will prevent a proper heat output for the room.

How are the panels installed?

Infrared panels can easily be mounted on walls or ceilings using simple, secure fittings. In non-standard constructions, some installations may require a specialized fitting. Depending on the type of installation, wires can be completely hidden, and the panel can be fitted in as little as 30 minutes. Whole-house installations can take as little as a day, depending on the home's existing electrical circuits.

Can the heating panels be zoned?

Yes. Heating panels can easily be zoned per room or throughout the entire home, depending on the type of thermostat.

Can panels be concealed in the wall?

Yes, using a concealed panel kit; however, installation for concealed panels is more expensive and time consuming.
